Trauma & PTSD

Experiencing trauma or PTSD can feel overwhelming and isolating. You might find yourself constantly on edge, easily triggered, or struggling with intrusive thoughts, flashbacks or disrupted sleep. Even when you try to move forward, your body and mind can feel stuck in the past—making it hard to feel safe, settled, or fully present in your day-to-day life.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is widely recognised as a gold standard treatment for trauma and PTSD. It works by helping the brain safely process and make sense of difficult experiences, so they no longer feel as intense or overwhelming. Alongside this, hypnotherapy can gently support the nervous system, helping you feel calmer, more grounded, and better able to cope as this processing takes place.

This work is always tailored to you and your pace. Alongside EMDR and hypnotherapy, I use a toolbox of supportive techniques to help you feel more in control between sessions—whether that’s managing triggers, calming your body, or creating a stronger sense of safety within yourself. You don’t need to relive everything to begin healing; the focus is on helping you feel supported and steady throughout the process.

Over time, many clients notice they feel less triggered, more at ease, and more connected to themselves and their lives. There can be a growing sense of safety, confidence, and relief—as the past begins to feel less present. With the right support, it becomes possible to move forward feeling lighter, more in control, and able to live your life with greater freedom.

If this feels like something you might be ready to explore, you’re very welcome to get in touch for a no-obligation chat. I’m always happy to answer any questions and talk things through at your own pace—you don’t have to go through this alone.

There is currently a waiting list for EMDR treatment.
